Where it started.
A forest in Sweden, 2021. The place where these ideas were first tested in real life.
The hub in Sweden
Mycelium Hub began in Asphyttan, Värmland, in the Swedish countryside. The property brought together space for around 20 people, shared places to work and gather, and easy access to the surrounding forest. Technology supported the work without taking over the day.
Over the years, we hosted retreats, residencies, co-working weeks, workshops and our own immersive gathering, Emergence. We hosted more than 400 people in person.

What Sweden taught us
Sweden was our playground. We tested ideas with real people, land, seasons and years of practice, not slides.
It is where we learned what community means when you have to live it together. It is where we saw that change is not only a decision in your head; it also happens in the body, in relationships and in the place around you. And it is where we built the systems that let a small team look after a growing community.
“The program structure was perfect. Before I came, I didn't even know what I was missing. Now I have clarity on where I needed support and how to bring my visions to life. … I used to focus on working alone, but Mycelium taught me that community is essential. The support and accountability here give me the freedom to pursue what really matters.”

The work travels
A network should not depend on one place. That is true for the people we work with, and it is true for us.
So the work has started to travel. We have taken gatherings to the UK and Mexico, and we keep showing up in living rooms, co-working spaces and temporary homes. Our online community, Spore Society, keeps people connected wherever they are.
Sweden remains where it started, and where much of what we know took root.
2027: Paraguay and Canada.
In 2027, we will host pop-ups in Paraguay and Canada.
